ENTRIES are being sought for a competition aimed at recognising sporting achievements.
Easington District Sports Council is searching for sports stars who achieved success last year to reward them for their efforts.
Among the categories for awards are junior sportsman and woman under 18, senior sportsman and woman, disabled sportsperson, coach, team of the year and sporting school of the year.
Past winners have included both elite sports people and those who have shown an outstanding commitment to sport.
Nominees must live or pursue their sport within the district of Easington and everyone is welcome to put names forward.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony at Peterlee Leisure Centre, including a special guest, local celebrities and a buffet.
