AN ultra-sound scanner worth £10,000 has been stolen from a car outside a veterinary surgery.
The equipment was taken from a car outside the Green Street surgery, in Darlington, at about 10pm on Sunday.
A vet and nurse had been called to the surgery to perform an emergency operation and were treating an animal when the theft occurred.
Officials at the surgery are offering a £200 reward for the return of the equipment which is used to carry out essential checks on pregnant animals.
Anyone with information about the equipment is asked to contact the surgery on (01325) 469165 or the police on (01325) 467681.
