A COUNCIL is holding an open evening to inform people about the rewards of becoming an adoptive parent.
Gateshead Borough Council was awarded the coveted Beacon Status this year for its success in doubling the number of children it has helped to find permanent homes.
Gateshead's adoption services team will explain the process and give people the chance to talk in confidence.
The evening will be at Gateshead Civic Centre, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm on Thursday, January 30.
