NORTH-EAST comedian Vic Reeves is today beginning a new chapter in his turbulent love life, following his wedding to former topless model Nancy Sorrell.

Mystery surrounded much of Saturday's ceremony at an exclusive mansion and the newly-weds' honeymoon destination is not known.

A host of celebrity guests turned out at Eastwell Manor, in Kent, for the wedding of the 43-year-old star, who comes from Darlington.

Vic's co-host on the comedy BBC quiz show Shooting Stars, Middlesbrough-born Bob Mortimer, was best man at the wedding.

The VIP guest list also included fellow comedians Johnny Vegas, Paul Whitehouse and Charlie Higson, as well as Ulrika Jonsson and Mark Lamarr.

But the £30,000 event was shrouded in secrecy to allow for exclusive coverage by society magazines Hello! and OK!

The day marked the latest chapter in Reeves' tangled love life. His first marriage in 1993, to Sarah Vincent, hit the rocks when she began an affair with a builder who had been working on the couple's home.

The pair got back together but, in 1999, Sarah walked out again to start a relationship with fitness instructor Julia Jones.

Next he fell for actress Emilia Fox, his co-star in the BBC drama Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) and the pair were engaged.

But when that relationship fell apart, Vic, in a bizarre move, moved in with his first wife Sarah and partner Julia.

Finally, he met his new wife Nancy, who modelled for The Sun newspaper's agony aunt feature Deidre's Casebook. He proposed to her at a London restaurant last February.
