GIVEN its tight nature on ground that generally doesn't get too testing, it's no surprise that Musselburgh is a course specialist's track.

And Bodfari Signet, who goes particularly well at the East Lothian venue, is fancied to return to winning ways in the Sean Graham 'On The Rails At Cheltenham' Handicap Hurdle over two-and-a-half miles this afternoon.

Sue Bradburne's gelding wasn't totally disgraced in a considerably better race than this one over course and distance last time, but the return to this company is bound to suit. He's back on a favourable mark at present and also has ground conditions to suit. He's taken to get the better of Richard Fahey's Cash For Questions.

Pass Me By, an impressive winner on his debut over course and distance last month, is taken to follow up in the Sean Graham In Tatts' At Cheltenham 'British Bred' Intermeditate National Hunt Flat Race over two miles.

Tim Walford's four-year-old showed a good turn of foot to account for previous dual winner Loopy Linda and is entitled to come on a fair bit for the outing. Khan Kicker was below form this year, but he has form at sharp tracks on decent ground and he's taken to go close in the Sean Graham Channel 4 Teletext P616 Showcase Handicap Hurdle over two miles.

The drop back to this trip is sure to be in his favour and, although carrying topweight, he's down to a favourable mark. His yard are in very good form and he should get the race run to suit.

Over The Hill has yet to win here but his best form is on sharp tracks and he will appreciate the drop in class in the Sean Graham Skytext P370 Conditional Jockeys Selling Handicap Hurdle over three miles.

He's been below form on soft ground on his last two starts but conditions here are going to be much more to his liking and he won't need to improve to win what looks a very modest contest.

At Wolverhampton John Balding's Scary Night makes plenty of appeal now he's returned to six furlongs and he's the fancy in the Bet Direct On American Racing Handicap.

Balding's sprinters have been in good nick this winter and his three-year-old, who won over this trip at Southwell on his penultimate start, has improved since the fitting of sheepskin cheekpieces. He ran his best race to date over five at Southwell last time when second to subsequent winner Park Star but is taken to get the better of that rival over this longer trip and on these better terms.

Platinum Boy, who is tried in a visor for the first time, is the fancy in the Bet Direct On 0800 329393 Selling Stakes over the extended mile and one furlong.

Kevin Ryan's three-year-old wasn't seen to best effect in a slowly-run race at Southwell last time, but this represents a drop in grade and he's the only course and distance winner in this modest line-up.
