YOUNGSTERS are being invited to a party as the Salvation Army celebrates its annual Young People's Weekend.
Children between five and 11 can enjoy the fun at a Praise Party at the Salvation Army Centre, Cross Street, Shildon, on Saturday.
The party is part of a new venture for the Shildon Corps.
A room has been set aside for parents to enjoy tea and a chat while their children enjoy the fun from 6pm to 8pm.
The event will be followed by three Sunday meetings led by captains Jason and Janice Snell. Children and young people of the corps will be attending the meetings at 10am, 2.45pm and 6pm.
The meetings will include presentation of prizes for attendance throughout the year.
