THE sounds of classical Austria come to Derwentside later this month.
Lanchester and District Operatic and Choral Society will perform Waltzes from Vienna, by Johann Strauss, in Lanchester Endowed Parochial Primary School, from Wednesday, February 19, to Saturday, February 22.
Conductor and producer David Hughes will oversee soloists Sharon Murray, Richard and Margaret Woods, Margaret Grey, Paul Davison, Peter Bridgewater and Harry Watson.
Tickets are £5 for adults, £4 for concessions and £2.50 for children. On the opening night, any child accompanied by an adult will be admitted free of charge.
