PEOPLE who enjoy a good read are being offered a chance to join a monthly series of discussion sessions at Bishop Auckland Town Hall.
Called The Write Read, the meetings are led by County Durham author and writing tutor Elizabeth Hankin on the first Thursday of each month.
She started a new season today with an examination of Michael Cunningham's Pulitzer Prize winning novel The Hours. The book is now a Golden Globe winning film starring Nicole Kidman as Virginia Woolf.
Alan Garner's The Owl Service is the topic on March 6 and Booker prize-winner A S Byatt's Possession will be under the spotlight on April 3.
