Billingham performed brilliantly at the Neptune Centre, Middlesbrough, with swimmers accumulating 20 medals and 44 personal best times being broken. The first six places receiving a medal.

Two ten-year-olds performing well were Harriett Goodman in the 100m I.M., 200m free, 50 breast, 50 fly, and 50 free. Gareth Allen in the 50m back, 50m fly and 50m free.

Eleven-year-old Craig Grounds swam excellently with three medals. His 50m fly taking bronze position, 200m free Fourth and 50m free Sixth.

Twelve-year-old Joanne Longster was superb gaining Gold for the 50m back, Bronze in the 200m free and Sixth place in the 50m fly, also high positions in the 50m free and 100m I.M.

Three 12-year-olds all with good swims were Pippa Shepherd and Jessica Trewin who both swam 200m free, 50m breast, 50m fly, 50m free, 100m I.M. and 50m back. Stephen Cook just missing out on medals, swam 100m I.M., 50m breast, 200m free and 50m fly.

In the 13-year-olds Lisa Sheehan with all good swims swam 50m free, 100m I.M., 200m free, 50m back and 50m breast.

Liam Sutheran 13, swam magnificently with Bronze medals for his 50m fly and 50m free, Fourth in 50m breast and Fifth in the 100m I.M.

Fourteen-year-old Emma Shepherd picking up Sixth place for her 200m free also swam 50m fly, 50m back, 100m I.M. and 50m free.

Phillip Grounds was magnificent picking up Gold in the 200m free, Silver in the 50m fly and Bronze in both the 100m I.M. and 50m free.

In the 15-years and over we had four swimmers competing.

Emma Wilson with all high places performed brilliantly collecting fifth place for both her 200m free and 50m free, other swims included 50m fly, 50m back and 100m I.M.

Lorraine Riddle swam well competing in the 100m I.M., 50m back, 50m fly, 200m free and 50m free.

Matthew Sheehan put in a good performance with all high places in the 200m free, 50m back, 100m I.M. and 50m free.

Peter Riddle had terrific swims with Silver in the 200m free, Fourth 100m I.M. Fifth in both the 50m back and 50m free and just missing out in the 50m fly.
