South Durham Royals
THE Under-12 girls entertained Lumley at home in very blustery conditions. The wind did not allow Royals to play their usual passing game and it was Lumley who scored first after 18 minutes.
Royals continued to pressure Lumley but could not find the net. Lumley scrambled the ball over the line and made it 2-0. After 41 minutes Lumley took a shot and scored an impressive third to make it 3-0.
Royals came out determined not to let the game go when they had worked so hard and Fiona Cantwell scored on minute into the last quarter. Five minutes later Rebecca Pattinson scored from a tremendous shot to make it 3-2.
Royals had all the play and Pattinson scored again after four minutes following some determined work in midfield from Alex Saunders and Rebecca Tolpin. The final score of 3-3 was a well deserved draw.
