A park that was restored last year has changed its name.
Derwentside District Council undertook the work at Consett Heritage Park after being awarded a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund. Now, it has agreed to reinstate the site's original name, Blackhill and Consett Park,
The land, once owned by Consett Iron Works, was given to the people of Blackhill and Consett in the late 1800s.
