Phillips and Clark finish first.

Fifteen swimmers from Richmond Dales swam at the Gateshead and Whickham Oven Long Course meet on January 25 and 26, entering 90 events.

From these 90 events 32 were placed in the top six with wins recorded by Janine Phillips in both the 100m & 200m breaststroke and Calum Clark in the 200m Butterfly. A total of 37 PB times were recorded. A number of junior swimmers swam in a 50m pool for the first time and performed well, Charlotte Galvin, Hannah Wliatton and Catherine Henderson all achieved PB Times in their events.

Nicola Jackson also swam at this meet and is coming back to form after her lay-off, she finished first in the 50m butterfly, first in the 200m freestyle, third in the 100m Freestyle and first, in the 100m Butterfly.

Joanne Jackson swam in the 16 year age group finishing in first place in 100m butterfly, first in the 200m butterfly, first in 200m & 400m freestyle and second in the 100m freestyle. Both sets of results were very good as both girls are still in heavy training.
