VIKING mania is about to break out in the region - with the help of a character called Thorgrim.
This year's Jorvik Viking Festival gets underway in York next Friday and is being supported by the city's Yorkshire Museum.
Staff have created Thorgrim, a character they say will be hard to track down, but will be worth the chase.
Complete with hunting horn and spear, he will be in the vicinity of the museum and gardens and once found will be handing out a special King Cnut coin that saves money on admission.
