Crook Wanderers have dropped the least number of points and they confirmed their position as title challengers with a 9-3 win at Evenwood White Swan.

Paul Bailes led the way with four goals and the rest came from Craig Edwards (2), David Pakes (2) and Stuart Dawson. Evenwood replies came from Craig Wren, Gary Dawson and Christopher Gill.

Byers Green St Peters remain second after beating Wearhead in a close game. St Peters led 1-0 through Gary Brown but Gary Crampsie equalised. Wayne Carr notched the winner for Byers Green who are having their best season for many years.

Crook White Swan extended their unbeaten league run to four games with a 7-2 victory over Tow Law Cattle Mart. Malcolm Umpleby and Stephen Boughey (pen) scored for the Mart.

Bishop Rugby Club are in the semi final of the Colin Waites Trophy after a convincing second leg victory at Howden Australian. Mark Foster (2), Darren Slater (2), Stephen Robinson, David Foggin and David Evans scored for Rugby Club in a 7-1 win. Stephen Burke replied for Australian who trailed by just 2-1 at half time.

Willington WMC are favourites to go through after beating Stanhope Town 5-0 in the first leg with four goals coming in the first half. Malcolm McWilliams scored a hat trick and Stephen Bradwell and Darren Britton completed the total.

Roddymoor went a goal down to a penalty against Newton Aycliffe in the South Durham Bowl but Alan Hawkey made it 1-1. Aycliffe ended Roddymoor hopes with a winner in the last five minutes.
