The Rector of Sedgefield is asking parishioners to submit questions for morning services at St Edmund's Church during Lent.

In the current issue of parish magazine The Link, The Reverend Martin King stresses the need for the Church to understand the British way of thinking in the 21st Century, saying a church that does not will soon find itself held in little respect.

Mr King said: "We ought to engage with some of the basic assumptions of our 21st Century British way of thinking, and find out how to live with some of the pressures which can easily turn into doubts, uncertainties and confusion. We need to know what your questions are.

"If there is anything you would like us to address, we should like to hear from you by February 10, so that the plan can be printed in the March magazine and so that we can take your questions seriously. To help those who might be reluctant to personally take their questions, they can leave their questions in a sealed envelope, anonymously."

The questions will be featured in the 9.15am and 10.45am Sunday services in Lent, or until the questions run out.
