Result of the week in Division One was recorded by Marske WMC A who held second placed Redcar Lakes A to a 3-3 tie.
Derek Smithies was first to play for the Lakes against opponent Andrew Williams. Williams won both games with scores of 69-8 and 43-35. Gary Beckett then levelled the match for the home side when beating Dave Buggey 64-32 and 63-22. Steve Quain then put the Lakes 3-2 ahead beating David Rhodes 59-28 but Rhodes dug deep and earned a tie for the away side when winning the final game by 54-35.
Redcar Unionist's A also chalked up an excellent 3-3 tie when playing away to Guisborough Cons. A, during which Paul Reeves compiled an outstanding 36 break. Another 3-3 tie was achieved by Grinkle Park when they played away against Lune Street B. New Marske A recorded a brilliant 4-2 home win against third placed Saltburn Cons. A.
At the lower reaches of the table Redcar Cons. B were in trouble again after being beaten 5-1 by Redcar Lakes C, however, their A team faired much better when they chalked up a 4-2 home win against Redcar Lakes B. Guisborough TA's recent run of form ended when they were beaten 4-2 by Carlin How A.
In Division Two, Val's Priory recorded an excellent 4-2 home win against third placed Carlin How B. Peter Dodgson got the home team off to a flier when he beat opponent, Mark Agar, in both of his games 45-34 and 68-21. Barry Walker shared the spoils with Carlin's Eric Wheatman with frame scores of 39-52 and 62-10 therefore putting the home side 3-1 ahead.
John Bracchi made it 4-1, beating Andrew Wiseman in their first encounter 58-46 but Wiseman salvaged a point for Carlin when winning the last frame 64-42.
Redcar Lakes D set off on another one of their winning streaks when on their travels they beat Saltburn Cons. B 5-1. Second placed Ennis Square A also recorded an excellent away win beating The Lodge 4-2. Guisborough Cons. B were playing away to the Redcar Unionist's B where they managed to chalk up the exact same result.
The Redcar Literary Institute kept their hopes of promotion on track with a 5-1 home win against Lune Street A. And finally, league leaders, Guisborough Quoit kept their unbeaten run intact when recording a 3-3 away result against Ennis Square's B team.
