Shuttle and Loom 4 v 1 Archdeacon
The Deacon have lost several players in the last two months and are not the team they were in the early part of the season. Nevertheless trailing 2-0 at half time a goal from Tommy Wright shortly after the interval gave them some hope of salvaging something out of the game but Shuttle came roaring back to increase their advantage to three and the game petered out to give Shuttle a comfortable victory. Chris Airey (2), Stuart Bell and Simon Albeson were Shuttle's scorers.

Newton Aycliffe 2 v 1 Roddymoor
Aycliffe switched the game to Howden-le-Wear and were rewarded for their sportsmanship when Scott Brassell put them ahead after 25 minutes from the penalty spot. Aycliffe proceeded to miss several good chances and were pegged back on a result of a 'route one' goal when a big kick from Roddymoor's keeper eluded everyone to leave the Crook a District League side with a simple conversion.
Substitute David Brassell was however, the hero of the hour when having been unable to pick up the pace of the game he suddenly lashed home a 20-yards volley for a spectacular winner.
Aycliffe are at home to Killinghall Arms in the next round on February 15 weather permitting.
