A MAN who carried out an attack in a Darlington nightclub has been ordered by magistrates to pay his victim £500 compensation.
Paul Glen, 22, repeatedly punched Stephen Williamson on the dance floor of the Mardi Gras club, in Gladstone Street, on December 22, after Glen saw him dancing with his girlfriend.
Jenny Haigh, prosecuting, told South Durham Magistrates' Court that Mr Williamson suffered a broken nose, two black eyes and cuts and bruises to his face. He was in pain for four days after the attack.
Glen, unemployed, of Harris Street, Darlington, admitted assault causing actual bodily harm.
