YOUNG children have been learning how to ride their bikes properly.
An event for pre-school age children was held at Eldon Grove Community Sports Centre, Hartlepool, yesterday.
Jackie Ferry, from organisers Hartlepool Borough Council, said: "Many young children will have got new bikes for Christmas and may have not learnt to ride them properly yet.
"We have experts on hand to teach them to ride their bicycles and also about the basics of road safety."
