MAMMALS will be in the spotlight when a touring exhibition arrives in the region.
The BBC's Life of Mammals exhibition, which complements the popular television series, will be at Newcastle's Centre for Life from next Thursday until March 2.
As part of the display, experts from the Northumberland Wildlife Trust will give talks and will lead more than 30 interactive activities.
People will be encouraged to learn more about native Northumbrian mammals in their own gardens and at wildlife reserves such as Big Waters in Newcastle and Briarwood Banks, near Hexham.
A spokeswoman for the Northumberland Wildlife Trust said: "With over 30 different activities taking place at locations from Gosforth to Kielder Forest, it is hoped that there will be something for everyone in the programme."
