VILLAGERS were given the chance to say what they would like to see in their community.
An open day was held in Bowburn Community Centre by Durham City Council's Single Regeneration Budget Six community team.
Visitors were given the chance to comment on housing, the environment, shops and services.
The council hopes that development in the village could raise funds for improvements.
Other organisations, including Durham Citizens Advice Bureau, and the Neighbourhood Watch Team, also attended.
NEA, a national energy efficiency charity, also provided free advice on how people can make their homes warmer and cut heating bills.
