CHILDREN travelled more than 150 miles to see their new classrooms being built.
Fitted with solar panels, underfloor heating and suspended lighting, the classrooms are part of a Government-funded initiative.
They are being built in York by modular building specialists Yorkon. They will be lifted into position by cranes at schools in Telford, Shropshire, in the spring.
Yorkon director and general manager Keith Blanshard said: "This project demonstrates how good design can be used to create really exciting education buildings."
