THE OWNER of a Darlington sex shop and massage parlour will appear in court next week charged with living off immoral earnings.
John Middleton, 59, from Kirkby Stephen, who runs the Pleasure Zone sex shop, massage parlour and escort service in Northgate, was charged yesterday morning.
His wife Lesley, 51, and another 62-year-old woman were charged with aiding and abetting living off immoral earnings.
The woman, of Wesley Court in Darlington, has not been named by police but is believed to be the manager of Pleasure Zone.
A man in his early 30s, who was being questioned by police in Ferryhill following his arrest on Wednesday, was released on police bail pending further inquiries.
The Middletons and the 62-year-old woman will appear before Darlington magistrates on Tuesday.
