PUPILS from a Darlington school have had their PE lessons transformed to a time of relaxation and calm.
Pupils from Years 2, 4 and 6 at Heathfield Primary have taken up yoga as part of an overall child development scheme.
The yoga classes are aimed at exercising the children's minds as well as their bodies and works on the theory that every aspect of a child needs to be developed during school time.
Linda Hering, a yoga specialist, is teaching the children what to do as well as introducing relaxation exercises before normal lessons.
