YOUNG people are working on a number of projects aimed at improving the environment they may have once mistreated.
Stockton Borough Council's Care for Your Area Services has teamed up with the National Association for the Care and Resettlement of Offenders (Nacro), and Stockton Youth Offending Service for the project. Under this joint working arrangement, projects have been undertaken at locations throughout the borough including Thornaby Allotments, Castle Eden Walkway and Mandale Industrial Estate.
Councillor Steve Nelson, the council's cabinet member for the environment, said; "One of the council's priorities is the cleanliness and quality of the environment in our borough.
"This partnership is a tremendous example of working together to achieve that goal and its success to date is a credit to everyone involved."
