POLICE are taking to the road to drive home their message about alcohol awareness next month.
Licensing officer John Tugwell will be taking a mobile police unit through Malton, Pickering, Helmsley and Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire.
The roadshow aims to educate people about alcohol and issues surrounding it.
"We will have some facts on the new Licensing Bill and also some information on proposed designated areas for on-street drinking bans," he said.
"People can come up and speak to us about what they think of the idea."
The roadshow will be in Malton on March 31, Pickering in April 1, Helmsley on April 2, and Kirkbymoorside on April 4.
There are plans to re-run the event later in the year during the school holidays.
