AN elderly man found dead in a pond was last night named as William Murray.
The body of the 73-year-old, from Thornaby, was spotted by a passer-by just before noon on Wednesday in a pond near the Stockton Riverside College, Teesdale Park, Thornaby.
Police said there are no suspicious circumstances.
An inquest is to be opened on Monday at Teesside Coroner's Court.
