DETECTIVES are appealing for help in tracking down raiders who stole antiques during a daylight raid at a house in an isolated area.
The thieves broke into the detached house at Carthorpe, near Bedale, North Yorkshire, by smashing a rear French window.
Their haul included antique silverware, a George II bracket clock by Littlemore and another antique clock made by R Peckover, of London.
Police would like to speak to the occupants of a white Transit-style van seen in the area at the time of the raid, which took place between 11am and noon last Friday.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious is asked to contact Northallerton CID on (01609) 789452 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
