EXPERTS will put safety first on the construction industry's agenda at an awareness day next month.
The Health and Safety Executive, together with local businesses, will host the event at Askham Bryan College, near York, on March 11.
The executive's local head of construction operations, Geoff Cox, said: "If anyone runs a small building, construction or contracting company and would like advice to help them get to grips with current issues, this event is for them.
"We often finds ourselves investigating the consequences after things have gone wrong, but our main concern is that things go right in the first place."
The event is free and anyone wishing to reserve a place is asked to phone (01904) 772290. For further information, contact Paul Unwin on (0113) 283 4237.
