A GARAGE owner caught in the Bali bomb blast says British victims should have help from the Government.
Ian Stafford, from Annfield Plain, near Stanley, County Durham, suffered serious shrapnel wounds when he was caught in the terrorist bombing at the Sari nightclub in October.
The explosion killed his friend, Ian Findley, 55, from West Pelton, near Chester-le-Street.
Now Mr Stafford, 41, says he will be unlikely to reopen his car repair business in New Kyo, near Stanley, when he has recovered, following a meeting with his accountant.
He has worked at the garage for the past 14 years, but it has been closed since he was injured.
Mr Stafford says victims in this country need help in meeting basic living costs while they recover from their injuries and are unable to work.
The Foreign Office says there is little it can do and recommends that victims go to their GP or social services for help.
