Scouts, Guides, Brownies and Cubs are invited to get their skates on and head down to Billingham Forum's Ice Arena for an event on Thursday, March 20.

The jamboree will be a chance for Scouts and Guides' associations to get together. The jamboree will run from 7.30pm to 9.30pm and will cost £2.50 per person including skate hire. For details, call (01642) 551381.

CHARITY EVENT: A ceilidh is being held to help raise money for the Hartburn Lodge Amenity Fund. It will take place on Friday, February 28 at Billingham Synthonia Club from 7.30pm to 11.30pm. PROGRAMME LAUNCH: The Mayor of Stockton, Councillor Jean O'Donnell will launch a holiday programme called Xplore at the Youthy, in Thornaby, on Sunday, March 2.

POLICE BAND: Cleveland Police Band will perform in St Peter's Church, Redcar, next Thursday at 7.30pm. Money raised will go to the League of Friends of Stead Hospital. Tickets are £3.50, or £2.50 for pensioners and £1.50 for children. They are available from the hospital or at the door.

DROP-IN SERVICE: The Guisborough branch of Cruse Bereavement Care is offering a drop-in service twice a month. The event will take place on the first and third Thursday of each month, from 2pm to 4pm, at Sunnyfield House, Westgate. Anyone interested can drop-in for a coffee and chat. WARRANT ISSUED: A warrant without bail has been issued for Lisa Marie Donnelly, 30, Burke Hall Road, Thorntree, in Middlesbrough, after she failed to appear at Darlington Magistrates' Court yesterday. Ms Donnelly had previously pleaded guilty to two charges of failing to appear at court.
