THE first team outing of 2003 for Northallerton Riding Club ended in success at the Area 4 showjumping competition at Honley last month.
Three teams were entered in the under-16s, with the most junior team of David Flowers, Laura Flowers, Elizabeth Scott and Gemma Tutty winning the competition and qualifying for the national championships later in the year.
The second team of Bradley Rainford-Blackett, Laura Flowers, Pip Tutty and Shaun Flowers were a respectable third, while the third team of Laura Flowers, Alex Floyd, Harriet Floyd and Amy Fox finished well with four clears in the second round after a shaky first round.
With the senior team down to three members, Ceri Hughes, Becky Hughes and Stacey Rainford-Blackett finished fourth.
