Sedgefield 75 Under-16 team played Durham University at the City pool in Durham in an entertaining match.
Despite being much smaller physically and younger, Sedgefield's talented youngsters dominated the game to win 21-13. Their quick movement and much better organised zone defence ensured a comfortable victory. This area group players has never ever lost a match in this age group in three years playing together against the best teams in Britain.
They are overwhelming favourites to lift the ASA National Championships next year. Scott Carpenter, only 14, and one of the youngest players ever to play for Great Britain, led well from the front with eight goals.
