A community project in Middlesbrough has been given a royal seal of approval.
The Trinity Project, in North Ormesby, has been awarded the Duke of York's Community Initiative.
The initiative aims to encourage the development of community spirit throughout the former Yorkshire ridings.
The Trinity Project provides support, learning and cultural opportunities, as well as spiritual development and fun to people living in the North Ormesby area.
The Reverend Graham Usher, with the local community, is leading the Trinity Project.
Mr Usher said, "All awards are special to those involved in the process, but what is especially significant is that once again we have proved against all the odds that even in areas of regeneration, there is a strong community spirit just willing to support a project that will bring great benefits to North Ormesby."
The project was launched last year by George and Alice Hewitson, who were married at Holy Trinity Church.
Children from North Ormesby Primary School and St Alphonsus RC Primary School also buried a time capsule.
