FIVE-A-SIDE footballers have smartened up their act with the help of a new strip.
Bishop Auckland College provided the light blue and maroon outfits for Auckland Youth and Community Centre's under-14s team.
Players are all members of the Auckland Youth Club and usually play only friendly matches. But they are already celebrating reaching the semi-finals of the Durham Association for Young People's five-a-side tournament this year.
They will play their semi-final against Tow Law on March 1.
Wayne Brown, community physical activity co-ordinator at the centre, said: "The team started off playing in coloured bibs with no nets.
"It is great that we now have a professional-looking strip and we also put proper nets up and have a referee.
"It means the games are much more official and it adds to the excitement."
