A host of stars turned out last night for the British film industry's highlight of the year, the Baftas.
Arriving to deafening screams in Leicester Square, in London's West End, celebrities from both sides of the Atlantic graced the red carpet.
Among the first to arrive at Britain's answer to the Oscars was Renee Zellweger. But Catherine Zeta Jones, arriving with husband Michael Douglas, stole the show in a stunning Versace dress with plunging neckline.
The seven-months pregnant star confessed there were likely to be tears whether she won or lost because her hormones had gone haywire.
Also gracing the red carpet were Angelina Jolie and Halle Berry.
Jolie was the biggest crowd-pleaser of the night, delighting the thousands of fans with a 45-minute walkabout.
She had covered up the "Billy Bob" tattoo on her arm with make-up following the couple's split last year.
Nicole Kidman, wearing a satin dress with thigh slits, arrived hand-in-hand with The Hours' director Stephen Daldry.
