POLICE are hunting a thief who has been targeting elderly people.
The thief, aged between 16 and 20, is thought to have struck three times in one night, at Knayton, Thirsk and Shipton-by-Beningbrough, North Yorkshire.
In two incidents he tricked his way into homes and stole property. In the third, he was disturbed while inside a house. He made off following a scuffle with an 80-year-old man.
The thief was about 5ft 2in, thin, with short hair and clean shaven. He is also believed to have a speech impediment.
