A Bishop Auckland theatre group has included parents of young actors and members of the audience in its latest production.
The Jacuzzi Theatre Group, which is run by the same people as the Bishop Auckland Theatre Hooligans (BATH) and its offshoot Bubblebath, opens in the town hall tonight with The Dad. It stars Tony Millward, whose son James is the busiest BATH member with 11 previous shows to his credit.
Another cast member Marie Clarey has been a regular member of the audience at the group's productions. And Lisa Ambrosini graduated from BATH to appear on TV, most recently in The Bill.
The Dad's author Stephen Elliot said: "We have roped in some parents and other people for the first time and they are enjoying being on stage."
Performances are tonight and tomorrow from 7.30pm.
