A COUPLE who cycled thousands of miles through some of the world's most beautiful sites are telling their story next month.
Tim and Sandy Franklin got on their bikes for a trip of a lifetime, travelling 12,000 miles through Canada, the US, New Zealand, Australia and India.
They even cycled from their home in York to Heathrow Airport in order to catch a plane to Canada for the first leg of the expedition.
Their journey had them swimming with dolphins, climbing in the Southern Alps and walking through National Parks.
The pair completed the tour during a year out and now give illustrated talks in order to raise money for the St Leonard's Hospice.
They will hold a presentation at the Galtres Centre, in Easingwold, on Friday, March 7, at 7.30pm. Tickets are £3 for adults and £1 for children and are available from the Galtres Centre office and at the door.
