AN Internet booking system for conference delegates visiting Tyneside has been launched.
Newcastle Gateshead Convention Bureau showed off its online hotel accommodation booking service in London at Confex 2003, one of the industry's largest trade exhibitions.
Tyneside is the UK's only conference destination to offer delegates such a service.
It is hoped the service will be instrumental in helping Newcastle and Gateshead become one of the top ten conference destinations in Europe - and boost Tyneside's bid to win the European Capital of Culture 2008 title.
