AN inquest has been opened into the deaths of an expectant mother and her husband in a car crash at the weekend.
Suzie and Adrian Baldwin, of Romanby, near Northallerton, North Yorkshire, died after their pick-up truck collided with a lorry on the A167, near Hurworth Place, on Saturday morning.
Air hostess Mrs Baldwin, 29, was six months pregnant with the couple's first child.
At a hearing in Darlington, Coroner Colin Penna said the couple's bodies were identified by fingerprint analysis, using prints taken by police from the couple's home in Harebell Close.
Mr Baldwin's brother, Andrew, of Bransdale Avenue, Romanby, attended the inquest with Mrs Baldwin's brother, David Leaf, of Spitfire Court, Scorton, near Richmond.
Mr Penna adjourned the inquest until the police investigation into the crash had been completed.
The funeral of Mr and Mrs Baldwin will be held today at St Radegund's Church, Scruton, North Yorkshire at 10.45am, followed by interment at Kirby Knowle.
