SUNDERLAND'S most vulnerable members of the community are to be given extra support with a new programme.
The elderly, homeless and people with disabilities or mental health problems are among those will benefit from Sunderland City Council's decision to sign up the Supporting People Programme.
The initiative offers vulnerable people the opportunity to improve their quality of life by promoting services related to housing which are cost effective and reliable.
