A MAN sustained a broken back and fractured ribs in a road accident in which a car hit a kerb and rolled into a field.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash, which happened in Rochester Road, Ragworth, Stockton, on Saturday night.
A silver Rover 114 was travelling north when it hit a kerb. It rolled over several times, and came to a halt in a nearby field.
Two men and a woman were admitted to University of North Tees Hospital where one man, a 30-year-old from Hardwick, Stockton, is still being treated for back and rib injuries.
Anyone who witnessed the accident, which occurred at about 9pm, is urged to contact police on (01642) 301558/2.
