RESIDENTS can make the most of a mobile task force of police and council officers, when the troubleshooters arrive on their doorstep next week.
The Multi Agency Resource Centre, or Marc, run by Derwentside Crime and Disorder Partnership, aims to help residents in isolated villages.
The mobile centre, bought with cash from the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund, carries police and staff from Derwentside District Council, Durham County Council, Derwentside Primary Care Trust and Neighbourhood Watch.
Along with helping to tackle crime concerns, it will also offer advice on a range of issues, from health to nuisance neighbours.
Over the next month, it will visit around 20 towns and villages across Derwentside.
The bus lands in the Co-op store car park, Annfield Plain, near Stanley, on Saturday, from noon to 8pm. On Monday, it will be in Asda car park and East Stanley shops.
Burnside resource centre in South Stanley is the first stop on Tuesday, followed by Alldays store car park in South Moor.
On Wednesday, the team visits Dipton Community Centre, followed by Delves Lane Working Men's Club on Thursday.
