HUNDREDS of children will have the opportunity to become even smarter thanks to a £17,960 cash injection from West Redcar Single Regeneration Budget (SRB).
Eight primary schools - Green Gates, Lakes, Riverdale, Dormanstown, Newcomen, St Alban's RC, St Dominic's RC and Coatham - can buy interactive smartboards and projectors, which will put them in the forefront of communications technology.
Jane Dunn, SRB project officer and family learning teacher, said: "The software enables all aspects of the curriculum to be taught and is extremely user-friendly.
"Pupils and staff will benefit from this equipment. Even children as young as three will able to use it and its potential is enormous."
