YOUNG people's projects will be boosted by £10,000 a year after councillors agreed to a funding package.
Following consultations with youngsters and the agencies that work with them, Easington District Council approved a youth strategy in September.
The strategy identified the areas of community safety, training, sport, leisure and health, for improvements.
A multi-agency young person's task group, including representatives from the council, police, education, health authority, and youngsters, was set up to implement it. The council has agreed to support the group by giving it £10,000 a year.
