Fraud will come under the spotlight during a joint initiative involving police forces from Cleveland, Northumbria and Durham at a conference at St James' Park, Newcastle, on March 18.
Detective Inspector Bill Matthews, head of Cleveland Police fraud investigation team, said: "I believe that this forum can provide the springboard to promote the change necessary to reduce fraud in the region."
