An 18-year-old man was today arrested in connection with the murder of a young girl found stabbed to death at home yesterday, police said.
Natalie Ruddick, 12, was discovered by her sister at the address in Newcastle yesterday afternoon.
Friends today told of their shock and sadness at the death of the schoolgirl, who had three brothers and three sisters and lived in the West End of the city.
