A PENSIONER who stepped out in front of a bus in a busy high street has died.
Edith Murphy, 81, from Stockton, was crossing the High Street on Wednesday near the Swallow Hotel when she was in collision with the bus. resulting in her sustaining serious head injuries.
She was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees where she died yesterday.
Police said several witnesses had come forward, but they would like to speak to anyone else who witnessed the incident and has not yet come forward.
