Draw specialists Darlington travel to the south coast tomorrow hoping to complete an impressive week when they take on Division Three high-flyers Bournemouth.

Quakers followed up last Saturday's draw with table-toppers Hartlepool - their 16th of the season - with a 2-1 win over play-off hopefuls York on Tuesday night.

And tomorrow Mick Tait's side can extend their unbeaten run to five games against a third-placed Cherries side looking to strengthen their position in the automatic promotion places.

The midweek win over the Minstermen ended a run of seven games without a win for Quakers who, on the back of two good results, will go into the game full of confidence.

"We've had a couple of good results and hopefully we can continue that on Saturday," said Tait.

"We didn't play very well against York but the important thing was we got the win.

"I cannot fault the lads at all for effort and that's what probably won it for us in the end.

"We never gave up and ended up coming away with a win.

"All I can ask is that they show that kind of commitment against Bournemouth and I'm sure we'll get something."

Fit-again striker Danny Mellanby is in line for his third consecutive start after claiming his first goal of the season against York.

After spending much of the season on the sidelines with a back and then a leg injury, the 23-year-old finally looks to have put his injury nightmare behind him and looks set to partner top scorer Barry Conlon in attack tomorrow.

"It's great to see the way Danny's came back," said Tait.

"He took his goal well the other night and it wasn't until I watched it on TV that I realised just how good a finish it was."

Defender Stuart Whitehead is still struggling with an ankle injury and remains doubtful.
